Lately, I've been busy setting up my new blog. I promise you will love it - bigger photos, easier access...what's not to love?! It should be finished by next weekend. And with it will premier Raeyanna & Matt's full e-pic session. :)

Also, very soon I will be having a portrait promotion that comes just in time for holiday cards! Look out for all of that very, very soon!

Russell's Senior Session

Another sweltering day in August we ventured out for Russell's session! (How I miss those August days now!) I have known Russell for I can't tell you how long - he is family. Russell was a little nervous in the beginning of our shoot, but towards the end he told me he couldn't believe how much fun he was having. That made me smile - it's my goal to make people feel at ease in front of my camera. I love that his eyes tell so much in each photo. Russell's photos are definitely him - and I am sure he is proud of the way they turned out. I can't believe he is a senior already and I can't wait to see what is ahead of him. Congratulations Russell!

Raeyanna + Matt - Engagement Session Sneak Peek

I have been looking forward to this session for months! Raeyanna has so many great ideas and inspirations - it was so great to think out of the box with her. We went to this awesome nature center and preserve where Raeyanna and Matt plan to have their ceremony. They had told me they had stumbled upon the place when out riding. I got to check out the place before shooting a few weeks before and I was just in awe. What a serene secluded place! I could see the excitement on Raeyanna's face as she showed me around. I was like a sponge, just gathering ideas for the session. When our session arrived, I was excited to meet Matt and see how they interact together. They are a fun couple! We were lucky enough to catch the morning light through the trees, which led to my favorite photos. Raeyanna and Matt are a very unique, adventuresome couple and I loved following them as they explored more of the nature center. I can't wait for their wedding in September. I know it's going to be one of the coolest and extraordinary weddings I've ever done! These are just a few of my favorites - there will be another post to come soon with even more so stay tuned! :-)

Rachael's Senior Session

Rachael is another Warren Woods Tower Senior. We ventured out to Saint Clair Shores on another steamy day in August. Rachael was a great sport in the heat. Talk about a posing natural! This girl has it all! It was so hard to narrow down my favorites for this session - Rachael really rocked all of them! She is super sweet and really down to earth. Good luck this year and beyond, Rachael!

Tyler's Senior Session

I've known Tyler for a couple years now and he is just one of those young people that will make an impact on the world. Even though he is sometimes shy and modest, he is a great athlete and artist. His outlook on life and attitude is so inspiring to be around. We had our session on one of the hottest days in summer, but you can't even tell - Tyler was a great sport! We even got his girlfriend, Shantel to pose for some photos! What a cute couple! :) We went to a serene park in Saint Clair Shores. I really fell in love with these two willow trees on the property and they made for some great photos! The second I took these particular willow tree shots I knew they were my favorite. Tyler and his parents had some great ideas for shots and backgrounds too and they turned out amazing. We had a lot of fun even though the sun was scorching at 10 am, but it was all worth it. I know Tyler will go on to do great things and I wish him the best luck in the future.

Blumz Wedding

I had the opportunity to work hand in hand with Blumz Florist at a recent wedding. They needed a photographer to showcase their talent, and boy do they have a lot of it! The room was gorgeous and the flowers - just stunning. Just a little taste of a beautiful wedding at Mac and Ray's.

Tom & Ann Marie's Engagement Session

I had a blast with Tom and Ann Marie. What a fun-loving, photogenic, friendly couple! They also brought their furbabies along for the session - Bear and Shelby. They were so well behaved! Partridge Creek was our destination - and what a great place to shoot! It was so cute to follow them - seeing their loving glances at each other, joking with them - this couple was easy to shoot. There are some amazing backdrops here - lovely fountains, a play area, (Tom & Ann Marie were all over that!) a 300 year-old tree - we hit every spot. Even security guards couldn't stop us! These two remind me so much of my husband and myself! I think that's why they were so easy and cool to be around! ;-) Don't worry Ann Marie, Tom is no Chandler in these photos! ;-) I had a hard time narrowing down for the blog - there were so many great shots. Congratulations you two! You are going to have one gorgeous wedding!

Trevor & Kat's Michigan Reception

Trevor and Kat got married in Florida on May 2nd of this year. They wanted their family back in Michigan to help celebrate the happiest day of their lives. I was amazed how much planning Kat had done! She definitely had a vision in mind and the day turned out wonderfully. The candy buffet was breathtaking! It felt like I was a kid in a candy store - millions of goodies. I admit, I was a little ring crazy with this session - they had so many cool props to use them with. My favorite has to be the rings on the rock candy. So fun! I also apologize for the graphic pig head - but that photo was too good to leave out! I know all that came to celebrate had a blast - I know I did! Congratulations Kat and Trevor!

Drew Turns One!

What a pleasure to work with Drew and his wonderful parents! I got to photograph Drew on his actual 1st birthday. He was in great spirits for our shoot - which made for some amazing photos! It was extremely hard narrowing down these for my blog. One look at those baby blues and I melt. He is just the perfect little boy! Drew enjoyed playing with his balloons and showing me all of his new toys. The highlight of the shoot was watching him demolish his own birthday cake! The icing perfectly matched his eyes - Haha! He was really into it. I had so much fun capturing this little man, who, with each passing day, gets cuter and cuter. Happy Birthday Drew!

Tarah & Jason - June 6, 2009

I was lucky enough to photograph Tarah's "Getting Ready" photos for her big day. She amazed me about how calm she was. She kept saying throughout the day it didn't "hit" her yet, that today was the big day. I wish I could've stayed for her whole wedding, but I had my brother -in-law's reception later that day. I did come back and see her though, after she was married and she still looked stunning. Her and Jason danced the night away with their friends at the beautiful Pine Knob Mansion and Tony Lucca even made a special appearance. Tony and Jason were close friends growing up. It was so special to both Tarah and Jason he was able to be there. Tarah and Jason are the true perfect matches for each other. They feed off of one another and I am so lucky I was able to spend time with these special newlyweds. Congratulations!

Busy, busy busy! That is what I am lately! I will have Tarah & Jason's wedding posted here within the week with Kat & Trevor's wedding reception to follow.

I am looking forward to this week's sessions with one-year old Drew and a much anticipated boudoir shoot with a friend. :-)

Memorial Day at The Haulers

For Memorial Day the hubby and I spent the day at my parent's house in Armada. It's a little farm town just north of Romeo. I grew up here from the ages of 12-19. I loved being in the "country" and being able to take in what the city wasn't able to give me. Talk about scenic views! I spent days outside (when I wasn't scared of bugs) and often sat by the pond or explored in the woods. I still call this place home and it's so great on a nice day to head up to Armada and relax.

My brother, sister-in-law, nephew and niece joined us for a BBQ that day. Spencer was excited he got to go fishing for the first time this year. He caught a few baby fish, but later when my nephew was throwing out fish food, he caught a koi. So beautiful. My nephew Drew got an assist for that. :-) My neice Gianna was in good spirits throughout the day which led to some great photos of her. My brother and nephew grilled the burgers - I had to document Drew's first cooking feat. He did very well - the burgers were great.

As it often happens in Armada, time flies by - we had to leave, but I can't wait until Spence and I don't have to work the next morning so we can stay by the bonfire and make smores! MMMmmm...Summer hurry up!

Hi all!

I have been very busy the past week! I got back from sunny Florida on Sunday and have been working on my site ever since! I hope for it to be live in a week. Right now I am battling a bad cough, but I am actually getting my wisdom teeth pulled (finally!) and will have some extra time to devote to the site to get it live as I stay home and recover. (If you know me, I don't lay in bed - I am glued to the computer for hours!)

The site is really neat, and I can't wait to release it! Please spread the word about Pure Amour Photography - I still have many openings this year and I am also booking for 2010. (There will be a place on the site you will see what days I have booked.)

Hi all! I am working on my new site currently. I hope it will be up and running by the end of next month. For right now, this blog is a great way for you to keep in touch with Pure Amour Photography and see what I am up to. My new site will have a calender with my availability and more galleries for you to look through. Keep coming back here in the meanwhile to see my latest and greatest!

I am heading to Tampa, FL for a long weekend this Thursday! I will be shooting my brother-in-law's wedding on the beach. I am so excited because not only is he getting married, he is marrying one of my best friends. I know their wedding will be amazing. I can't wait to come back and show you my photos!
